Guest guest
Okay, so I think I did good with my liver-care yesterday and this morning. I read that onions, garlic, and crucifers support the liver, as well as lemon water. So, for dinner I made cauliflower mashed potatoes and roasted a head of garlic. I actually ended up eating almost the whole head of garlic and half a head of cauliflower. Possibly overkill, but oh well. No bad reactions. Then I took an epsom bath to help my liver detox anything that the garlic might have stirred up. This morning I had a glass of lemon water with some sea salt added, and ate some scrambled eggs (the sulfur is supposed to support the liver) with leeks (onion family). I was prepared to eat some beets too, but we didn't have any, and I had to go get my blood redrawn. Well, I got the results, and the reading that was in the 500s yesterday was down in the 200s, while the reading that was in the 300s was down in the 100s. So, definitely better! And that means I can get my colonoscopy on Tuesday! We all think it must've been the azathioprine, unless it was some strange reaction between the aza and the digestive enzymes. Either way, I'm off both for the time being. Thanks to everyone who gave me advice! Cheers!
