Guest guest
Hey all,I messed up my yogurt batch tonight i was so distracted, I dumped the starter powder into the main quantity of cooled milk instead of the small amount I had put in a glass :(That's all the milk I had, so I put it in the maker anyways. Is it going to be ok? What will happen? Thanks! Also, I found erivan. if I put in fage and erivan, I understand for one premade yogurt starter, it's 1/4 cup per liter, but if you're combining two yogurt starters, is it 1/4 cup each? would that work? I really don't know. how do you guys do it? also, a few times ago I left an oven mitt on my maker. thought it wouldn't be a huge deal. ooops! the yogurt was at 130 degrees when it was finished. since then, a few times, the yogurt is always overheated now (no, I don't put the oven mitt there anymore ;P). it comes out at 120, or last time when I got around to check temp after I unplugged and it sat awhile, 115. I've always kept my yogourmet on a little cooling rack as a precaution. and before it was always fine. what's going on? what can I do? Thanks!!
