They are right about the " ingredients " not having undisclosed things in

them but you have to check also the " allergy info " . For example, the

Raw Trader Joe Pecans were processed in a plant that uses milk and

usually that means the same equipment that packages the pecans also

packages the milk products. This may not bother you but the Whole Foods

walnuts or pecans which say " processed in a plant with peanuts, soy,

wheat, and milk " did give me symptoms so I switched to their bulk nuts

which are expensive but clean. Ron

>I emailed trader joe's about their nuts and the possibility of added

starches. I specifically asked about the Roasted and Salted Marcona

Almonds and Roasted and Salted >Cashew Pieces but referred to all of

their packaged nuts. This is what they had to say (in case anyone else

has wondered):

>Thank you for taking the time to contact us with your product concerns.

>In response, we wanted to assure you that the products that you

>referenced do not contain any undisclosed ingredients or starches. As a

>matter of standard we clearly and voluntarily disclose any of the

>ingredients contained in any of our Trader Joe's private-label products,

>where other manufacturers may not.
