squished eye from helmet question

my son has had his band for about 10 weeks. It has always fit pretty well and

no major problems other than a little bit of that squished eye thing from the

forehead bossed area. It sounds like that is pretty common, and the ortho did

adjust it a hair to improve it, but said it wouldn't correct as well if she let

up the pressure there so we felt fine leaving it be, and my son did not seem to

mind or bother his vision. well, it seems crazy but I swear that eye apears

smaller to me now with the band off, I have left it off for a few days now and

it seems better but still noticable to me, but I am wondering if its really

possible?? and if anyone else has experienced this at all?? did it get better?

he is just about done with the helmet and I wanted to leave it on a bit longer

but I am really reluctant due to this.
