Guest guest
Hi , I agree with you about what BCBS allows for non- participating OS. For my surgical molds, surgical splint, ceph, etc. which were about $2200, BCBS allowed $888. Because I am going with a non-participating OS, they seem to allow less and then only pay 75% of the allowable amount. I asked the OS office to appeal that amount. I can't believe that is the going rate for the area. My total surgery bill is about $25000. I will have both two oral surgeons-primary and assistant, so that adds some to surgery costs. Of course the $25K doesn't include the hospital. But that I don't worry about as much as the hospital is a preferred provider. But if I'm having someone rearrange my face , I want the best. Maybe the rearrangment will take a few years off!! Shirley
