5 wks post op - question on eating

Hey everyone,

I am 5 wks post op as of yesterday and haven't had another follow up

with my surgeon in a few weeks as he's out of town. I am wondering

those of you that had elastics as a method of fixation, how long before

you ate real food again, other than just blended stuff. I'm dying to

eat again, craving food more than ever before. So how long before the

elastics came out and you were allowed to chew.

Of course I won't eat without the clearance from my OS however I just

want something to look forward to again.

How long did most of you stay in elastics for? I can't wait for them

to come off.
