My biggest fear is also forgetting to take one of my medications or vitamins.

Thank you

I would like to thank all of you wonderful people for your love and

support. The feeling that I had this morning was one I have never had

in my lifetime. It as absolutely the worse. I know it was not the

anesthesia or the actual surgery. I think may be I still was a little

nervous about the afterwards and scared that I woul forget to take a

pill or other medications that we have to take afterwards. You know

what they say, " hind sight is 20/20 " . I think I may try to talk with

Dr. R one on one and write down all the questions I would like to ask

him and he may be the one to put my mind at ease.

Once again, thank you so very much.

To A Beautiful Person If God had a refrigerator, your picture would be on it. If He had a wallet, your photo would be in it. He sends you flowers every spring. He sends you a sunrise every morning. Whenever you want to talk, He listens. He can live anywhere in the universe, but He chose... your heart. Face it friend, He is crazy about you! God didn't promise days without pain, laughter without sorrow, sun without rain, but He did promise strength for the day, comfort for the tears, and light for the way.

Thank You

Susiecue, you have so much going for you. Congratulations in the weight loss. Even though you feel crappy.... mentally you are doing great. ANd GOOD FOR You to pamper yourself. It feels so good to come home and to have had someone else do your hair. I make a point to do this now every 6 weeks or so.. I deserve it. lOL

I went to our Pumpkin fair a few weeks ago. I had to see the craft booths too. You will have such a good time. When we took Makeila and to Disneyland in April, I fought all the way down there the idea of a wheelchair. Well I used one every day and I had a wonderful time. I'm so glad I did now. I didn't miss a thing and I actually enjoyed the whole trip. Of course having Rich push me was another story.. LOL We just have to set our minds that nothing is going to stop us from having tons of fun.

You go get em girl!! Have a great rest of the week and be sure to rest. I just read an article in our paper today about how important it is for women to take naps and not feel guilty about it. Very interesting. Of course that has always been my rule. lOL

Love your posts... keep em coming.

Well, I am a full ten lbs up today. Even if I have 4 lbs of bloat I am still

dangerously gaining. I am like a spoiled child. When I want to eat

something, the thought crosses my mind " f--k them, I'll eat what I want. " I

don't

even know who " them " is. I'll assume, it is my long deceased mother. Keep in

mind I am 61 and still fighting the rules. Like every other morning, I am on the

wagon again today. Wish me the strength to follow through.

Thank you I did finally find the article on Stirling.

And yes, it must be a certain peace to know one did

all one could. Still quite a loss of a very special

little boy. My sympathies go out to his Mum, Dad, and

family.

Hi there-

I am curious to hear a little more about the procedure you had done and if you

are happy with the results of your appearance. I am having the orthognathic

surgery done mostly for cosmetic reasons...I have always hated my long chin and

initially was going to have plastic surgery to shorten it, but them I was

informed that I had misaligned jaws and that if I was going to have something

cosmetic done to my chin that I needed to have the the jaw surgery at the same

time to correct my bite. The oral surgeon said that he plans on doing both my

upper and lower jaw and doing a vertical genioplasty on my chin. But after

reading your posted I wonder if my bottom jaw is fine.

So are you happy with the results of your appearance? Has it made a big

difference in the way you look? Do you have any before and after photos?

Thanks!

place, other than correcting my bite. i hated my chin. but the os

decided not to move my lower jaw back, as planned in the beginning,

but he grafted my chin so it would stick out less. 11 days till im

unwired, im counting down! and then only 6 more months with braces.

Hey Amber-

I don't know if this will work for you or not-but we broke david's

my little man would be stuck 4 times!! Best wishes today(since its

shot day)!

Take care,

Hi Patti,

I was born in Richmond, grew up there and relocated to Fl after 29 years. My

mother and two brothers are still in Richmond.

I'll be going up over the Holidays for her 90th birthday. Sorry, I'm not still

there but of course still consider my self a Hoosier. (Unless you talk about

schools and then I'm a Boiler)

> Just want you all to know how very grateful I am to have found you. Since

joining just a few days ago I have been going back and reading as many old posts

as I can (well after midnight the last few nights) and I have never seen such a

positive group of people. When I was told last month that my IPF was advancing

I was scared to death. I started reading as much info as I could and we all

know how frightening that can be. At this time I am not on any medication or

oxygen but that may all change after I go to Chicago next week but even that

seems less scary now.

> Again thanks to all of you for encouraging me and each other and my favorate

post yet was " we have no expiration date stamped on our butts " . I love that!

Just a note to thank everyone for their warm messages.... .......last Wednesdaywas a long day for us. I was in the hospital f11 hours thinking everything was ago for TX and 10 minutes before I was to go into the OR....everyone else was inthere already, the surgeon took a last look at the lung and said no. I know inmy heart that when it is right, it will happen and my faith is even stronger than it was before Wednesday.I have learned some more things and have some questions. As they were gettingall of the meds ready right around 9:15pm, the charge nurse said that there was1 more drug to give me before surgery started, but because of the high cost ofthe drug, it would be hand carried to the OR and that the surgeon would have tosign for it......any ideas anyone?Another thing I learned and was a little taken aback by, though in retrospect, probably should not have been., In all of the time, I have

been reading,talking..and learning about TX, I have never read or heard anyone mention beingon a by-pass machine. I was just very surprised by it.LAst, but not least, I have written before that the one thing most on my mind isbeing on the vent........ ......... I am really scared of this idea. Shands saysthey keep you lightly sedated, but want you to be awake and aware of what isgoing on. I know I need to get past this, but it is hard.Take care, hope you all are having a good day,KAthy...FLPF....4/07Wtg for TX call

NO scaring - please do not be...............I am doing ok with

it..................and all will be well. Thbey stopped because I was told they

do many, many checks and tests on the lung to make sure it is satisfactory and

they do one last final check before surgery starts (which I am glad they

do)........it was at this last check, that they decided to call it off. Would

much rather have them do that than proceed.

TGake care,
