When I opened it up after 8 hours in the fridge, it was full of water just floating on top, the same pale yellow color it looks like when I drip my yogurt and discard the 'whey'. So, it looked like whey, poured it off, and the yogurt was clumped together, grainy looking, almost like feta looks, and when I stirred it, it was REALLY watery. Tasted not as tart as normal. I was afraid to eat it. It has been sitting in the fridge for a few days while I ponderd what to do, and the same whey-like water has floated to the top. The only thing I did differently was I let it sit out on the counter longer than normal and it was a warm day. My starter has been in the fridge always, but it may be older than a year, not quite sure. So, anyone have any suggestions? I was going to drip it, but I am a little afraid of eating it.
