The Lady With The Broken Ankle....lol....update

Hello Everyone,

Hope everyone is continuing to do well! While glancing through some

of your posts....I chuckled while reading a posting where I was

referred to the " lady with the broken ankle " and thought it was darn

cute. Just had to write and tell you all that I am now on my way to

recovery and keeping in pretty good spirits despite all the

circumstances. I did have to have surgery on my anke afterall. It

was Monday, July 19th and did pretty well except for that darn and

beautiful thing called anesthesia. My next visit to the orthopaedic

will be next Tuesday, July 27th and will hopefully have my stitches

taken off. Hopefully I will be given a support brace where I can

begin stepping on my foot. I have been using a wheelchair, crutches

and a walker!!! Can you believe it? I'm a pro at all three! I now

feel I am on my way finally to a full recovery (4 to 6 weeks) is what

they're telling me. I will remain hopeful and trust in our lord that

it will be sooner. I can't thank you enough for all your

prayers....they helped me pull through once again!!! But again, last

reminder....wait at least 4 hours before taking a shower while taking

your pain medication (for all of you who are new). I feel truly

blessed to all my family and friends who have been amazing....it is a

wonderful feeling when people reach out to you in so many ways.

Again, I look forward to reading and responding to new posts. Good

luck to all of you getting your surgery soon and I will be keeping
