Becky,

My mom actually asked about having a removeable splint just like a

retainer (great minds think alike). Alas my OS said that it was not

possible because apparently the splint is a very different critter from

a retainer. He did say that depending on how wide I can open my mouth

come Monday they might be able to put another supporting archwire also

on the back of my top teeth, sort of like a permanent retainer would

be. Anyway, I am not putting up my hopes until he takes the splint off

and it stays off.

As for forgetting you guys, NEVER! I plan to be here for a long time

still providing support for many years to come. Just that now I'll be

doing it from the land of corrupt prime ministers , pasta, pizza and

amore:-)

Do you know when you are removing your splint?
