Dumping Question

I don't know if I have ever seen anyone ask exactly what happens to

your body when you dump. Does anyone know? I know you feel

nauseous, sick, weak, etc. but what happens inside of your digestive

system and body that causes this?

Also, I just wanted to say I learn so much from this group and it has

benefitted me a million different ways. My dog is diabetic and 2

days ago she was weak, wobbly and walking as if she was drunk. I

immediately decided she might be hypoglycemic and began hunting for

something to give her with sugar in it to push her blood sugar up.

Took me 15 minutes because I don't buy ANYTHING with sugar in it

because it makes me dump so bad. Finally found a bottle of syrup in

the back of the fridge my niece bought for some pancakes she made. I

never thought I would be panicked over not having any sugar in the

house- ha. Took her to the vet and I was right, her blood sugar had

dropped way far down and we adjusted her insulin dose as a result.

Besides being diabetic, she has glaucoma, cataracts, a detached

retina and now they think she has Cushings disease. Anyone with a

dog with Cushings disease and any info on it please feel free to drop

me a private email. I have had dogs with cancer, a stray with

heartworm, allergies etc. but no Cushings so this is a new one for

me. Thank gosh my other 2 are healthy. Anywhoo... thanks for the

info, it sure helped me with my pooch Thursday night!
