I went in to see the ortho on Monday and she removed the splint (she

has me sleep with it in place). I feel so much better with that thing

out! I can clean my teeth and excuse me but clear my throat of the

ever present bloody phlem too.

I had so soft foods and was that a treat! I have lost about 25 lbs so

this is the beginning of a good thing. The selling is going down and

I am looking more " normal " . Although very different! I am still not

sure if I like it but it is getting better. I had a upper advancement

and split.

Good luck to all! No worries every day gets better (I started by

counting the hours).

,

You are so lucky to have that splint out! I'm so jealous of you. Mine

will be in for another 10 weeks. I'm 2 weeks post-op and upper and

lower surgery also.

Wow! You have lost a lot of weight! I have been eating pretty well. I

have had pancakes, scrambled eggs, even beef enchiladas. The only

problem with eating these foods is that they get stuck in my splint

and stay there.

Good luck on your recovery!
