Guest guest
Although I am still not chewing very much, I am finding that I can eat just about anything if I take my handblender to it or cut it up in small enough pieces. Tonight I had potstickers whacked with the handblender. Earlier today I had a hamburger patty cut into tiny pieces. It took a while, but .... Do you think it's normal that I'm not chewing much yet two weeks after lower advancement? My doc said I could chew things the consistency of scrambled eggs, but I'm not sure how long he intended that to last. I remember him saying the goal was to have me back on a regular diet at six weeks. Maybe after the splint comes off I'll be able to chew better. Right now it just feels awkward and wears my jaw out. One more week in the splint! (Hopefully.)
