Guest guest
I've been a lurker for quite some time, so I thought I'd introduce myself. I had the lap Rny in Jan 04 done by Dr. Chapman in Greenville NC, and have dropped from 272lb to 185lb so far. I'm very happy with how things are progressing, and hope to meet my goal weight by my one year anniversary. I'm a single mom, and so far my biggest challenge is getting the proper exercise! I never seem to have the time. I was wondering if anyone had any good tips on firming up- especially the areas under your arms and in your thighs? I welcome any suggestions! Guest guest
Welcome to the group! I have always loved exercising, cardio (kickboxing, aerobics, swimming), strength training, yoga, pilates, you name it . Now that I'm down over 70 pounds it's just getting easier and easier, I did 30 laps in the pool the other, which is great exercise for everything, thighs, arms, abs, everything. If you combine cardio with strength training you'll see the results. Pilates and yoga help to build the strength and core stability, balancing is excellent for abs and since you're using your weight you get a great workout. Specific strength training for the back of the arms would be tricep kick-backs, overhead presses, and push-ups for the inner thighs you can do inner thigh lifts, squats and lunges. Hope that helps.
