Guest guest
Hi Tonya, I have lost a total of 13 pounds so far. You really don't want to use your surgery as a weight loss plan because you don't want to lose to much because it may delay your recovery time. The average seems to be around 10 pounds, but there have been some on this board who have actually gained a little weight post op. You main goal is to get enough liquids, protein drinks, etc. into your body so you can heal quicker! Think of it this way, if you lose weight it will almost surely come back when you are able to eat again. There's no way that you will be able to stay on a liquid/soft diet for a lifetime! Hope this helps, --Caboose > hi, can anyone tell me (or everyone) how much weight they have lost > after surgery? i've always been slim (5'11, 160) but in the past 2 > years i have put on 30lbs because of antidepresants. i'm off the > medicine now, but it's so hard to get the weight off. so, i wondered > what the average weight loss was. i also know that the trick will be > keeping the weight off once i can eat again! > thanks tonya
