Thank you so much for your wonderfully sweet words:-) I am trying to

learn to take compliments graciously these days. It is amazing how

just a few changes can make your whole face look a lot more balanced,

isn't it? What has amazed me the most about my face post-op is how my

eyes look so much less droopy now. When I was younger kids used to

always tease me and say I had sad eyes or the eyes of a St. Bernard

dog or a dog that had been beaten. I tried to never really let it get

to me, in fact I love St. Bernard's but still...now suddenly my eyes

aren't so droopy anymore and it feels nice!

Re: the swelling, did you take arnica pills before surgery? that's

what I did. I also did a MLD (manual lymphatic drainage) massage the

day before surgery and I honestly believe that helped. I also think

having your uvula removed did a real number on you. I am aching for

you:-( Hang on, it will get better, I promise!
