Guest guest
Hi all, I haven't posted here in a long time. I had upper/lower surgery for an open bite back in May 2004, and I had a fairly good recovery, with virtually no pain. After reading many of the posts on here, I thought I was pretty lucky with how everything went for me. I just had my one year anniversary of the surgery date, however, and I've begun to notice that I'll have pain sometimes on each side. For the past couple months, things have been rough with my family, and without getting too personal, there's been a lot of fighting and crying. My jaw has really hurt the most after any fights. Now I know you'll all be thinking " it's your own fault " because it seems as though this pain has come directly as a result of what's been going on. My question is, what do you think I could have actually done to my jaw, damage wise? Would I have hurt the muscle, the bones? My jaw should have been fairly healed by 1 year but I know it probably isn't at 100%. I'm fearing now that because of all this, I'll need to have a second surgery, and that scares me so much. Anyone think that it'll just heal and the pain will go away? I'm beginning to question my choice to have the surgery in the first place. ~that_girl100
