Guest guest
I had my LBL and small hernia repair a week ago today. GEEZ what a surgery. I don't think it was as bad as the WLS because I am now 1/2 my weight and can move easier than at 300 lb. I am cut completely around no anchor. He lifted the skin and did muscle repair that way. He did some " muff " work so it doesnt hang. He removed 15 lbs of skin and fat. I was in the OR for 6 hours. In the hosp for 6 days.(no i wasnt in room 6) They had me on the well loved Morphine drip wound up itching like crazy I don't know why maybe the morphinethey said. I swore I caught lice and bedbugs in the hosp laying there high as a kite searching my head with a magnifying mirror. What a trip....drugs do not agree with me. Going to the bathroom the 2nd day when they took the folly out was a nice experience. Usually have to lift my stomach to wipe myself (sorry if this is too personal just sharing) Not to have to do that and just reach down was WONDERFUL. Although I felt like I wasn't doing something I should be. Sharon from the list called me....Hi Sharon!! I don't remember what I said but thank you for calling. My surgeon uses self desolving stitches inside and steri strips on the outside. No staples. I have 4 drains 2 on each side...they hurt and I cant wait to get them out. I go to the Dr. on Weds and hopefully he will remove them. they are draining around 10CC ea. 2x a day now. My head hurts a lot the past few days and I don't know why. They switched my pain meds to see if that is it. Not much else will share more when I know more. If anyone has any hints on the dreaded drain pain or head aches please pass them my way. in CT open RNY 01-22-01 Dr. Goodman in NJ 306/154/17 LBL Dr. Ciccarelli in CT 09-29-
