Pity Party- no one's invited!

Yup, I'm having a giant pity party for just myself. I got out of my

air cast for all of three weeks and now I'm back in the *#@^()!@

thing! It appears that the Charcot foot is back or maybe never

left. I have been in the cast since May and have managed to gain,

yes, I said GAIN about 15 pounds. Was forbidden to do any cardio

exercise and darn little weight training (that was limited to what I

could do sitting on my now increasing butt or laying flat on my

back). DH is sure that I reinjured the foot by doing 55 minutes at a

whack on the StairMaster, weight trainer is convinced it's the new

yoga classes that I just started and I think it perhaps leg presses

but whatever the case, I am back in the cast and off my exercise

routine that didn't even have a chance to become a routine. My foot

doc says, Well, you just have to eat less! Right! Didn't want to do

that!! Wanted to increase exercise to be able to eat same amounts.

Poor, poor, pitiful me! So I guess that now I have to diet my way

back. I do very little carbs but have found a tendency to graze

since I can't do much of anything else. Gotta cut that out I know

but easier said than done, esp. when I don't work- just sit at home

eating bon-bons and watching soap operas (or so some people seem to

think!). How does this relate to WLS? Dunno, except it's a

challenge to drop the regain. I'm coming up on my third year post

WLS and my surgeon is gonna be pissed at the regain and I only have a

couple of weeks until my appointment to try to get some of this off.

I smell a protein fast coming! Poor, poor, pitiful me!
