im new and need help with some info please

Hi,

I have been told by many dentists since I was a kid that I needed

surgery to shave my jaw, but my parents could never afford it. Now I

am looking into getting my jaw fixed because the dentist today told me

that the way my teeth are sitting, I will continue to lose my teeth

because of the way my teeth are carrying the weight. I am really

considering going through with surgery, but I cannot find much

information on the process and I have heard some horror stories on

getting your mouth wired shut and that sounds scary, like I would feel

clausterphobic. I also heard that my insurance now may cover it since

it is not cosmetic surgery. I would really appreciate any information

anyone can give me because I am tired of having problems with my jaw

and teeth emotionally and physically. thanks.
