Guest guest
OH this is so darn funny. Thanks for sending it. It's very odd for me because I have started noticing things within the last 15 lbs that I have dropped. My legs " calves " were never really " fat " . If I could get the darn 4x pantyhose over my hips and bear the discomfort of thigh rubbing thigh the legs didn't look too bad. Suddenly I have noticed the crepe paper look of the skin on my calves. I want to know who stole my nice smooth skin? Then there is the beginning of hanging belly skin. I never noticed it before in quite the same way. And the neck ... the turkey neck. Oh yes, that is me too. Suddenly I miss certain things about my body that it had when I was well over 200 lbs. My hands... I use creams constantly but I can really " pinch a half inch " of skin on the back of my hands which leaves them wrinkled and old looking. Just when my fingers are looking slender and my size 7 rings all fall off and the size 6 rings are turning around need ring guards. How much is from WLS and how much would have happened just because I am 51 I don't know. I put on my work pants that I wore before school got out (teachers often wear the khaki pants that are part of the student uniform) the seat and thighs are so baggy but right below the waist where the belly hangs ... I need the room. I probably will have to start wearing elastic top pants instead of the zipped ones. Someone stole my blood sugars too! And my sleep apnea! I don't know where they went. Before WLS my average morning blood sugar was running 245. My mid-day sugar was often over 300 when I needed to take more insulin. I get up and test my sugar now and usually see a number below 130 ... no insulin, no pills. And later in the day ... always below 140. Who stole those glucose levels from me? Now my C-PAP machine is gone and my vials of insulin and my syringes. Oh dear. And the rubbing spot on my clothes from where the steering wheel rubbed my belly. All gone now ... Yup Tara... I am mourning right along with you. --- Outgoing mail is certified Virus Free. Checked by AVG anti-virus system (http://www.grisoft.com).
