It included a thigh lift, lower back lift, and tummy tuck. It was definitely MAJOR surgery. I am so incredibly glad I did it. I felt, quite honestly, deformed after the weight loss. Even with clothes on the extra skin was noticeable and a nuisance. Now, it's a joy to get dressed and undressed. I feel so incredibly happy with how I look and this does truly translate into how I feel each day. se
Guest guest
, Congratulations on such a great loss, 240 lbs is a remarkable amount to lose. I am sorry that you are not feeling good about your upcoming surgery on your thighs. I have an idea that you may have thighs like mine. Not every obese person has them. I have been observing people, especially in the summer when they were wearing shorts. Some obese people have nice straight, heavy legs, knees quite visable. When they lose weight, their legs lose also and look good except for the loose skin. Now to describe my legs...... They have always been very large, bulging thighs, rubbing together to form bad rashes. I have always had great crevices behind my knees that people think are cute on babies. On me, they cause fungus infections because the air does not reach them. I thought losing weight would help (I have lost 215 lbs, and in a sz 8). But it has become worse. The fat has sunk to that area. It hangs over my knees and creates a greater crevice behind the knees. The upper thighs are wrinkley and flap together, no rash, but make flapping noises if I walk too fast. I cannot wear pants as the legs do not fit like the waist. I must wear long skirts so that no one sees this ugliness hanging on my knees in front and back. It is like a big growth hanging over in back. I want to have plastic surgery on them. I have consulted a couple and they feel this is a real challenge, didn't refuse but made me feel uneasy. Now, I was told that the approx 10 lbs of fat on each leg is throwing off my balance as it is centered on my inner knees. Sorry this is so long but it is difficult to describe. Is there anyone else out there who has or had this problem????? Please advise me if you can. Tell me of a PS that has handled this well. I will go anywhere. Or do you suggest I live with it?
