Guest guest
For those of you who have had upper/lower surgery and can offer some words of advice: 1. The pre-op lab testing. I know part of it involves a urinalysis. I got so nervous when I went to a lab before (plus I had gone to the bathroom before I left my house) that I couldn't go and I had to take the tube home and fill it there. Pretty embarrassing. Any advice on how to make this easier? It seems like it would be an easier thing for men to do, but for me (a woman) it was really awkward and difficult. 2. How would it be best to schedule my surgery around that which inevitably comes every month (my period)? I have difficult periods as it is, and I'm hoping surgery won't worsen the experience. Any thoughts? ~Joanne
