pain (not severe, just uncomfortable) going around from underneath the

breasts to the back? I just started my dream job as a librarian, and I

have to stand on my feet 4 hours a day. Now, 4 hours is not much, but

after the first hour, I start aching from the area just below my

breasts to the upper part of my back.

What you're describing sounds like the lateral muscles in your back and

sides, as well as the oblique abdominal muscles that come around your

ribs to the front -- if you're not used to standing and bending a lot,

I'm sure they'd get fatigued and achey. I wonder if it might be useful

for you to see a sports physiotherapist, who could recommend some

exercises to help you build strength and endurance (all over, not just

in those muscles)? Just offhand, I'd think about doing some

weight-bearing exercises, as these will strengthen your whole body and

make it easier for you to do your work. Plus, of course, they help you

" sculpt " your body a bit!

Good luck...
