Hi everyone,

I haven't been on the board too much in the past couple months

because I've been busy finishing university and moving and starting a

new job, so unfortunately I don't recognize too many names on here

anymore.

I'm about 4 months post op now, and the past two weeks have had a

definite increase in the stiffness and soreness of my joints. Today,

a couple times, when I moved my jaw the wrong way I got a very sudden

and sharp pain. My jaw is sore to the point that I think I'm going

to go back to the mushy food and liquids diet for a few days just to

avoid hurting it more! I saw my OS yesterday, and he just looked

concerned and said to stretch more. Stretching helps the stiffness

it seems, but not the soreness, or sharp pain. Has anyone else had

this, or have any suggestions to help with joint pain? Unfortunately

in the move I packed away my heat pack to my parents house; I sure am

missing it right now!!

Thanks for any help you guys can give!!!

ps. on a fairly unrelated note, for those of you who are asking

the 'how long' questions, to share my experience to date, it took me

about 3 months to get my full opening back, and now, at 4 months, i

would say I have 90% feeling in my numb areas...i'm confident it will

come back all the way. still have some problems chewing things, but

hey, that's probably related to the fact that my jaw hurts a lot more

lately :)
