Pain

Hello All-Just thought I would throw this in as food for thought. My

husband has had several major surgeries. His knee, his back and

partial amputation of his foot. In 1977 he was riding my new Harley

sportster and was hit by a train. The train ran over his foot

resulting in the amputation. We found out during this period of time

that even though they were giving him much pain medication nothing

was

helping. They then switched from morphine to demerol and that did the

trick. We have tried one time since and his system accepts Morphine

like aspirin. He has to have demerol to combat severe pain. Demerol

can be given though the same pump. Just thought I would let you all

know in case, for one reason or another, you think you are not

getting

pain relief when you should. (He is doing great now).

Trudy-I love following your excitement on here. Cannot wait until

you cross over and start your journey to a new life. Know what you

mean about the eating just to eat and being too depressed to go out

because of how you look. Won't be much longer. Just think how

beautiful you are going to look in your new Easter outfit, and how

about checking s Secret out for Valentines day for your

hubby.

Best of luck, am with you in spirit even though I have not made up my

mind yet. ette in Southern Indiana

Hi everyone. I am extremely new to this. I just got approved about

4 days ago and was wondering about the pain issue after surgery.

I'm having the surgery done laprosicly and thought maybe one of you

could tell me. I was wondering how long I should take off work and

class. Any message would help. Thank you
