Guest guest
Actually, again I forget who posted about this (I think it was a couple of people), but thanks for the concerns. When it comes to body building, I read and read and read. I won't put anything in my body that will enhance my lifting performance unless I've come across significant amounts of studies that declare it being relatively safe. The supplements I'm on include: -chromium picolinate (400 mg/day) -flaxseed/fish oil (4 supplement grams per day, plus whatever I take in from eating fish, etc.) -L-carnitine (in small amounts from So-Be LEAN, that stuff is EXPENSIVE...heh, but so is the So-Be LEAN, it tastes SO GOOD) -creatine (5 g per day) That's on top of the recommended supplements for gastric bypass patients. I had a vitamin/mineral blood concentration profile done about a month ago, and I'm just fine. I also drink about 3 liters of water per day, and drink about 92 grams of protein in whey. Also worth noting: the best protein mix I've ever tasted is made by a company called Syntrax. It's called Nectar, and it comes in fruity flavors. My favorite is lemonade. It tastes like crystal light with a slightly gelatinous aftertaste. There's 23 grams of protein per scoop, and it's high quality. I haven't noticed a reaction to the lactose in it, either, and I've been very intolerant since my surgery. You can order it from www.bulknutrition.com, if you're interested.
