So my gallium scan is normal, doesn't show *any* sarcoidosis anywhere else in my body, yay! I don't know if the methotrexate and pred are suppressing things, and I have yet to see my specialist to interpret the results (that's not til March), but the 'raw report' from the hospital, which my GP gave me, looks pretty promising.

It did show up osteoarthritis in my wrists, shoulders and knees, though, dammit :/

Cheers,

I've never had a gallium scan; doesn't seem to be a standard procedure in these parts (Midwest USA). Now that I'm in remission I guess it doesn't matter.

Yeah, they inject you with radioactive gallium a few days before the scan, and

then you lie on a table that moves slowly through the scanner. It picks up areas

of inflammation / infection / cancer in the body.
