Guest guest
Barbara, I've seen dogs on TV getting underwater treadmill therapy; that's cool that you'll be able to do it! I just hope you don't start barking & wagging your tail. Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. Guest guest
I would love to find underwater treadmill, I need to check into that, I'd happily bark, well don't have a tail, I do the treadmill whenever I can, push myself even, but sometimes it just hurts too much, doing in what I would hope would be warm water would be great. I can't do cold water either. MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too is just today:) Barbara, I've seen dogs on TV getting underwater treadmill therapy; that's cool that you'll be able to do it! Guest guest
The more talk I hear about warm water, and then look out at our snow and it's 2 degrees out, burrI need to find myself a hot water pool too. we have this new facility and it's suppose to have one, so need to go over and check it out. I'm jealous of all you:) MarlaJust one day at a time, That's all God ask of us. for there never really is a tomorrow, as that too is just today:) I took Jon & Trent swimming yesterday; the water is about 86 degrees. I'd like it a little warmer, but it's still pretty good. I keep my hot tub at 104 in the winter & about 88-90 in the summer. This club also has a steam room (120-130). I lasted almost a minute in there, but it really helped my breathing. They also have an inhalation room for when you are congested. Smells like mentholatum; I might try that the next time I have a cold or sinus infection. Now the sauna is out; I can't stand that kind of heat! Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. Guest guest
The facility I use has aquatic exercise classes, from very mild & easy to strenuous, body sculpting exercise. I'd like to try the classes, but just never get around to it. I get plenty of exercise with the kids though. We play whale rider, where a kid gets on my back, then I go under water & try to buck them off! And while they are jumping in & playing, I do some water exercises. So I'm pretty tired after an hour or so, but it's easy on my joints & helps my stiff muscles. Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine.
