Guest guest
I have had a few instances of double vision and funny head feelings, as you have. However, it may have been down to taking Topiramate, which I was prescribed as part of this for optical migraines. Blurred or double vision is onbe of the side effects of this drug. There may be a clue for you in there, but I am not sure. Incidentally, I have now stopped taking it, which is a good thing. Guest guest
Helen, I don't know if you've already seen your neuro, but if he/she doesn't have an answer, I'd definitely call your opthamologist. Also, think back to before this started--did you do anything different? Any new meds, including OTC? Ramblin' RoseModerator A merry heart is good medicine. Guest guest
I had a sixth nerve palsy about 5 years ago, which my doctors now think was a neurosarcoid thing (no cause was determined at the time). The sixth cranial nerve makes the muscles at the side of the eye move - if it stops working, you will get really severe double vision, as one eye can't turn properly. It gradually got better over time (months), but I wasn't able to drive during that time. I hope your neurologist has some answers for you! Guest guest
Helen I had double vision for 3 months before I was diagnosed with neurosarcoidosis. Once I was put on 60mg of prednisone it took another 2 months to clear up. I just woke up one morning with it and woke 5 months later without it. Sorry I cant give you better news I no its terrible. I spent 5 months with one eye closed as it helped me to focus.
