Actually, I have something to say about lower right abdomen too LOL... I have spastic colon (a form of IBS) and I can get really bad cramping pains there (I always thought it was appendix bursting until I had a colonoscopy and it was formally diagnosed). Not sure if you have IBS, but perhaps your colon is spazing out as the chyme enters it (at the junction between the large and small intestines). I'm sure it's of a different consistency, etc. b/c of the malapsorption. I would ask the surgeon, etc. about it if it persists but it will most likely work itself out. Could be the appendix (like mentioned by someone else) or could be your colon trying to adjust... all the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal january 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt.
