I have a big ole incisional hernia around my belly button area

repaired soon.

Thanks for the info.

I had the same question for my doctor when I went in for my 6 month

check up. (Not because I was pregnant or had a hernia but because I

was afraid that I had both which as it turns out I dont.)Barbara at

Dr. Rabkin's office said that there can be complications with a

hernia and pregnancy and it needs to be monitored.

I am so excited for you. I know it is earlier post op than they

recommend but it can be done. Barbara said that someone else that was

only 3 months post op got pregnant and had a healthy baby. She drank

2 ensure a day and was fine. Talk to your surgeon and go to an OB/GYN

right away. Take good care of your self and get ready for your life

to change in every way.

Good luck and I will be watching your progress. I am counting down

the year to when I can get pregnant again myself.

be the poster girl. :)

then get in touch with her to see what and how she is doing.?

sherry: As far as I know, there isn't (yet) a specifically DS-pregnancy

list. I'm a member of the OSSG list and someone there mentioned that I could

head up a DS list when I got prego (which may not even happen -- I have two

and my DH is less than willing at this point...) I know most of the people

there are post-op RNY. It's a nice group, but I don't think you would really

get many responses that are particularly DS-related...

Someone please correct me here if I'm wrong -- there may have been a new list

started and I just don't know about it...

Hey Sherry!

My sister-in-law had to have surgery at 7 mos. I

would definitely talk to a surgeon about this. It

will be painful and if it gets strangulated, then you

would have to have emergency surgery.

GOod Luck!
