Same for some chicken. Mashed potatoes or, even better, rice. Pureed soups (egg drop is to be had in Chinese restaurants -- I have had it in Sydney, but I don't know about Brisbane). If these suggestions seem too radical, try scrambled egg. Everything should be very moist, or eaten with **SMALL sips** of liquid. Avoid milk in anything until you find out if you have become lactose intolerant. But, don't spoil your Christmas finding out. If you pay attention to signals from your body ( " listen to your body " ), you should have a good idea what your stomach will or will not accept on Christmas. Be sure, whatever you do, to drink plenty of water. More than you want to drink. More than you think you can drink. But, aside from sips to make your food moist, BEFORE AND NOT WITH your meals (at least not until you heal). If you make it to the beach for Christmas, have a few splashes for the rest of us up " Norf " . --Steve -- Steve Goldstein, age 61 Lap BPD/DS on May 2, 2001 Dr. Elariny, INOVA Fairfax Hospital, Virginia Starting (05/02/01) BMI = 51 BMI on 11/14 = 39 (-80 lb.)
