Guest guest
My baby just started wearing her starband 2 and a half days ago and I am having a harder time than she is. After all the hard work getting her a helmet, now she has it and I feel like I should be greatful. But I am so frustrated that I can't snuggle with her in the way that I used to. The helmet seems to get in the way! I don't want her to feel like the snuggles have changed all of a sudden. I wonder how the rest of you have altered the way you snuggle your little banded ones. I used to kiss her head and face a lot. Now it seems like the only avalable place is the apples of her cheeks and the top of the head where there is a cut-out in the top of the helmet. It really is a hard adjustment. : (
Guest guest
I know what you mean. Mostly I did not want my little guy to feel isolated since he had the helmet so I just make a point to kiss and cuddle as much as I can, I kiss his neck alot and his ears and cheeks. He really likes it I try to just pretend the helmet is not there basically. its hard but now I really don't notice it as much. good luck! le From: nrob1230 <robbins1230@...>Subject: I miss my baby's head Plagiocephaly Date: Friday, January 1, 2010, 8:27 PM My baby just started wearing her starband 2 and a half days ago and I am having a harder time than she is. Guest guest
It is a hard adjustment-- We've had a helmet for nearly 8 months, and when he has it off for cleaning, I snuggle even when he still has a stinky head Just empathy here; there's no way to get around the little bit of sadness. Enjoy every second you have with the snuggly head! Guest guest
My son has been in the band for a week now. I miss his little head too. I kiss everything else and really take advantage of his hour off at night to rub and kiss his head. He doesn't seem to notice the band so much so I think it's more just me. I am still not used to it yet. I think it's harder on the mama's! > > My baby just started wearing her starband 2 and a half days ago and I am having a harder time than she is.
