Haa,haa. He is doing well. He is just still pretty tired and has

lots of gas???? Can't figure this one out. HE had been doing so

much better with not gagging and spitting up as much, but now he has

me up so many times at night because of the gagging. Neither one of

us is getting some much needed sleep. ) I am going to become

narcoleptic soon! Hee,hee.

Re teh gas I'm not sure, I know when they do surgery such as

csedction they pump you full of gas which then has to come out

eventually. NOt sure about hand surgery though...

Yeah, me neither. My husband had his gull bladder taken out and they

pumped him with gas and he was saying maybe has trapped gas

from that. But, with it just being hand surgery, I wasn't sure about

that explanation. I just wish I could help the poor guy. He can't

hardly even eat because he is gagging. Can't rest well, either.

Hopefully it will get better soon. Thanks for your response and

Jodi, where there any tubes down his throat? Make

sure that when they pulled to tube up that they didn't

scrape the inside. Also, after 's surgery and

she was taken off the respiratory, she did a lot of

throwing up but it really was only that night because

they were trying to get her to drink or eat something

which was turning her stomach. If has any

problems with gastric emptying that could be a factor

maybe? I would call the doctors, your ped, the

surgeon, the anesthesiologist - you never know what

information they can provide and may shed light as to

why is gagging.

I hope his hand is healing well and everything turns

around for you.

Thanks, , for the advice. I was wondering about the tube in

his throat, too. He was intubated and on a ventilator, but I didn't

know if that would cause the gas???

Huh, I feel like such a whiner when poor Chrissy and Madison are

lying up there in NY with REAL problems! This is JUST gas, no biggie

compared to what our friend is dealing with. I think I am done. )
