Guest guest
, Sometimes even though they tell you no food after midnight, you can give clear liquids up to a certain hour, like 4am. Apple juice falls into that category. You can also ask if you can give her the glucose gel just in case. Jodi Z
Guest guest
I think it depends on what the blood test is for. just had blood work done by Dr. H's assistances. After yelling and vomitting, I asked if she could at least have water and they said no. Now on the other hand, has had a cardiac catheter and the cardiologist and anesthesiologist said fasting after midnight, however, would allow clear fluids which included broth but must be like a chicken broth not a beef broth. If they don't allow anything I would recommend bringing snacks and juice with you so that Tori can have something as soon as she is done. 's blood work didn't get started until about 9:45 a.m. and had to go 2 hours. We gave her M & Ms, a Nestle Crunch bar and fruit loops. I only had water with me in case they would allow her to at least have that. I didn't have juice for afterwards. When is Tori's blood work and for what? I would even try calling the lab to see if they can help answer that question. Good Luck!! B 5 1/2 and Kelli 3 --- jamtorrss wrote: > Hi I have a question about fasting?
