Guest guest
I hope Emerence makes it home tomorrow. Poor baby. My daughter had that virus in her throat, too. She was miserable. But that was so many years ago. I'm telling you, sometimes I read about these babies on the listserve and I feel so OLD!!! Get lots of rest and I hope things go well with the ENT, too. Please keep us posted. Gosh, our kids need some breaks around here! Jodi Z

Guest guest
Hi, I apparently jinxed myself. Emerence did great today eating and drinking (well great for having a throat covered in ulcers) but she woke up from her nap crying, covered in sweat and hot hot hot. Well, got her in the tub and then took her blood sugar - 71. So called the dr. office and the dr. on call sent us to the ER again for fluids and a sugar check. she drank a bit there and tested at 80. She was a new child after the iv and on the way out the door she called out, " hey guys, I love you all! thanks! " I don't think the drs and nurses well, off we go again, i stopped above she woke up screaming and thorwing sugar 85, they told me to go back to be admitted...wish us luck and hope the pedi guy from yesterday who talked about RSS kids needing a D10 is working (he is familiar with RSS). Guest guest
, Keep that child in the hospital until she is eating well for at least 24 hours. She probably did not have enough stored yet and used up the little bit that she had from the IV. I hope this stay is as comfortable as can be, but make sure you keep her there!!! I know this only too well from too much experience. Jodi
