Dawn, where do I get it? I didn't see it in the HFS. I live in WA. Is

it in any store like QFC, or Fred Meyer, or Top Foods etc? Or do I

have to go to a store like Trader Joes etc. ?

Thanks, Cristina-WA

Cristina,

Almond Breeze seems to be everywhere in Colorado. I get it at my HFS or at

my regular grocery store (King Soopers). I recently asked them to order me a

case of the original Almond Breeze because it's harder to find than the

vanilla or chocolate. My son loves the vanilla flavored, but it's kind of

high in sugar. Unfortunately, he did not seem to like the original flavor.

I'm currently mixing original and vanilla to slowly wean him off of the

vanilla. You can also order it from their website www.bluediamond.com.

Do you have to be concerned about the sugar content found in Almond Breeze?

I knew it was to good to be true. The reason it is so yummy is because of

the sugar. If you have to worry about yeast, this milk substitute which my

son also loves, is not an option for us. I am trying to locate Pacific Rice

but they don't have this brand in our store, only Pacific Soy.

If they already carry pacific-just ask them to get the rice. It is a little

nerve wracking to ask for what you want-but they will do it and usually are

happy to.f

Patty,

there is a brand called " Naturally Preferred " of rice milk sub, that

is usually a little cheaper, and many times I found it on sale for a

lot less, in stores like Fred Meyer, QFC, Top Food, etc. They have it

also in vanilla (not sure if they have it in chocolate).

I have not checked Naturally Preferred pesonally, but it came up very

recently (like 10 days ago) on one of the gfcf boards, and someone

had just checked on it, so it is ok to use.

If you are not sure, or won't trust other's to check it (I don't have

time for it lately, so I do not check all the times, especially if

someone just recently checked on the product-but everyone is

different), I would check it myself if I was you. All it takes is a

phone call, and you got your answer personally. :o)

Wish I had the time to check every product I buy: I usually buy only

things that are safe and already confirmed so, or listed on the

gfcfdiet.com.<sigh!>

Hope this answers your question...? :o)
