I'm doin ok it's difficult to eat cause maddy gets upset so i wait till she falls asleep. Thank god Both Jodi's brought me lots of junk food cause she never falls asleep till the cafiteria closes. Besides that i'm doin fine can't wait to get home since today is my son Shane's 2nd birthday. Thanks again, Chrissy

Guest guest
A Tpn is Lipids ( cholesterol ) Potassium, electorlites and so on. It's all the necessities that the body usually gets from daily eating. Her body was short everything since she had stopped eating for a so long. It's like an IV except it's run in the picc line. A picc line in case ur not sure is an IV placed in her upper arm which goes through a large vein and into her chest. This line can stay in for weeks without having to be changed. The TPN accually looks like gatorade it's yellow. Then she has a seperate bag that goes through the picc line thats really thick and white it looks like paint. Thats pure fat. I'm very nervouse about her commimg home with this. Chrissy
Guest guest
Ahh, that's hard. I hope he's having a good birthday otherwise. That's too funny that Maddy gets upset about you eating. Can you hide the food so that you can at least take a few bites in the bathroom? Again, if you need anything give a yell. Guest guest
Oh how cute. Hey at least she asks about how it tastes. She is such a doll. By the way, what is a TPN? Guest guest
Like Jodi Z said, make sure you let them know your concerns. I'm sure you will get the help you need. Have they given you an indication when you will be going home? Will she need to keep using theTPN until her surgery with Spigland? or is that something she will continue to have to use even after the surgery?
