Can you please send us the article, or the link. We, in Israel, are

having a

hard time convincing our health funds to support growth hormones for

kids

who have RSS but are not GHD.

Any ammunition would be most helpful to us..

thank-you,

Wall Street does not allow access to articles on their website

unless you are a subscriber.....isn't that ridiculous?

I'll contact Wall Street tomorrow and ask that they give me rights

to reprint the article this week. Maybe they will even do an

article for me on RSS ?? Never hurts to ask! I'll write your name

down and follow-up on this for you.

Debby - okay - so you've probably read the article.

Do you think it was of benefit? Just curious. Since we are not in

the process of GH yet - I wasn't sure how much of a help it would

really be for any of us.

Hi

Actually it's an article about kids who are growth hormone deficient, our

kids with RSS " tend " to have enough GH, their body just doesn't realize it's

there and use it for some unknown reason!

But it was interesting to read! Thanks for your efforts!

Everyone, Please keep in mind that I believe this drug is not for

the majority of our children. I believe it is a specific drug that

is for children who have a specific error with their IGF-1. The

vast majority of RSS/SGA children will grow well on growth hormone

therapy. For those children who do NOT grow well on GHT, their

endocrinologists would undoubtedly recommend a more intensive series

of testing (which is expensive, I believe, and hence not normally

done). This drug is used for those children who have this specific

IGF-1 error. I hope I am right on this, but read something earlier

in a different article about it. I am leaving on a 2 week vacation,

but maybe someone could do some investigation to ensure that I am

correct.
