Guest guest
Hi everyone, was wondering- for those people getting surgery at 500-600 pounds- how much more weight loss, in percentages or pounds, would result LONG TERM if the person got a 75 cm common channel instead of a 100 cm common channel ? I am 5 feet 10 inches- 70 inches total- and I am unsure which avenue I should pursue . My surgeon is flexible and will honor my wishes . I REALLY want 100 cm but am terrified at the prospect of not losing enough weight- or keeping it off long term . I also was told that when the common channel has to be revised , that to increase the length of it promotes weight gain ( for those who have lost too much ) but that if it needs to be shortened because of not enough weight loss the results are not as good !!!! Thanks for the input and advice . blessings
Guest guest
I was 502 pounds at one time, though I was down to 465 at the time of my surgery. I'm 6-2. My " common channel " was set at 80 cm. I'm down to 238 and have been for a while....about three months. I'm 16 months post-op.
