We've been having pretty severe problems since my son was born (almost 3 years ago) but it has definately gotten worse since my surgery. I've heard that the surgery *can* cause conflict in a relationship and that definately has been the case with us. He's been going to individual counselling, I just started yesterday and we will begin couples counselling next week. So, for those of you out there that may be experiencing similar conflicts in part due to the surgery -- hang in there. There aren't as many of them as PC Geeks, so they are special catches! ROFL I can tell you some hints on how to attract one's attention: Get one of those Mac OSX t-shirts and they will flock to you! We are a Mac-only family -- I have one of the original Apples (and we have at least 2 other defunct older machines in the house that it is sacreligious to get rid of). We have a G4, Ibook (my baby) and IMac (for the kids) all hooked up to a wireless airport connection. I can't begin to tell you how interesting and productive that early morning bathroom time can be when you are reading e-mails or surfing the net from the potty! ROFL No, he's not all bad. I think that once I changed MY ATTITUDE and such, he reciprocated in kind. AT least the give and take has begun! My initiating changes instead of demanding that he do it and my inner focus did wonders. After all, how can I ask him to change when I keep implicitly accepting those behaviors even though I say I don't want to? No matter who was 'wrong' or 'behaving badly', I had to realize that it was only ME who could do something about ME. When I started acting in a different way, I started getting a different response. We have restored that bit of faith in each other that had been lost Well, my son was lying outside whining the entire time we took that candlelight shower, so sparks were ignited but weren't able to really burn for too long except for a touch here and there... LOL After the kids finally succumed to sleep we had fun on the futon in the living room! ROFL I have to nip this damn male-Oedopus-complex in the bud! My son is insanely jealous of his father -- it's ridiculous. All the best, lap ds with gallbladder removal January 25, 2001 Dr. Gagner/Mt. Guest guest
I am glad you had a wild night. I did to and it is a good thing. I hope the counselling works for you and your geek. Ellen(Pam
