Guest guest
Thanks to all who responded reg. my picky eater. He's still limiting himself incredibly & having some bad days (we're on week 2) of tantruming, whining, etc. He's probably hungry too because there are times he just won't eat. Maybe it's just something else, but he's had some much calmer moments lately too. Today he was very calm - for him. There was less stimming, less hyperactivity, more contact. Is this possible after only about 2wks? I'm just taking it as a good sign that we should keep going on this. He won't take his supps though. His nutritionist wants him on flax & omega 3 oils. I can't hide them in anything since they smell fishy. As it is he's barely eating so I won't push it by putting stuff in his food to make him want it that much less! Thanks again, Michele (, ASD, 7yrs, Logan, 3.5yrs)
Guest guest
I think you are right to wait on the supps - it would be nice to get them in, but first you want him eating regularly. Also, you don't want to turn him off to new food by making it smell fishy! As far as him seeming more calm, it is possible that he is coming out of his fog - I think that some of the tantruming and such is our little guys trying to deal with a very confusing world. Hang in there. If he only wants to eat the same thing over and over, then give it to him for a while and gradually add in more choices. I put raw broccoli on my sons plate for months and he finally ate it!!! He doesn't eat it every time, but I can dream! Moira > Thanks to all who responded reg. my picky eater.
