hey kim!!

my nicholas is 7 1/2 nonrss and wears a boys size 2 1/2 or 3 depending

on the shoe. christopher 4 1/2 rss wears a toddler size 9 1/2 (his

smaller foot is a 9 though) and johnathon 2 nonrss wears a toddler size

9 1/2 or 10 depending on the shoe. christopher actually has fat feet

for an rss child (unfortunatly he gets that from me!!!) you may want

to try pay less for shoes, they have toddler size shoes that look just

like the boy size shoes (same styles in both size ranges) there is

alot of time where the boys all get the same shoes maybe just a

different color!!

Hi Kim,

Olivia's a girl but in case others are interested in girls sizes

she's 5.75 yrs and wears an infant/toddler size 5.

I'm interested to see other responses also and the difference

between GHT and not on GHT... Olivia's not on GH (yet!)

has tiny feet. He has been in a size 3 infant shoe for a year

now. No GH here either. And, he is 3 years 4 1/2 months old. Like

you said Kim, he has such tiny feet and hands. People comment on how

he remains standing up on those small feet.

Liam will be 5 in December and is a size 11 toddler.. But he was on GHT for

a year ( the insurance denied it now).... His foot did not grow till we

started GHT and then it went up 5 sizes in a Year!!!! We will see what

happens now that he is not getting the GHT!!!

Hi Kim,

This is the first time I've heard about small feet for when these kids get

older. It makes sense, I'm sure this will be the case with my daughter, Dasia is

still in a newborn size 1, and she is 20 months. And her hands are very small

too. That broke my heart to hear about your son hoping to look in the bigger

kids section! I'm slowly but surely learning all of the things I'll need to deal

with in the later years by reading all of the posts! Thanks everyone!

He has always had exceptionally small hands & feet. His brother,

who is 7 years younger than him is wearing a size 11 - 11.5 now, and

will pass him soon. Poor always wants to try on bigger

I know how the shoe sizes can be frustrating at times.

My daughter (non RSS) is 6 and wears a size 2 which is

big for her age and my SGA daughter is 3.5 and wants

to wear some of the same kind of shoes but those don't

start until size 7 and she is just in a size 6. She

screams, " I want to get a pair like sissy's " .

Kim - Ian, RSS (2.5 yrs) finally has gotten to an infant 5 1/2 or 6 -

but, his feet are so narrow we are very limited on shoes.

non-RSS (3.75 yrs) has huge feet with size 11 1/2 extra wide. He'll

be out of toddler shoes before he's 5 !! My 15 1/2 yr old has big

feet too - size 10 1/2 Mens.

Jodi - Awww - he does have tiny feet. And I thought Ian's feet were

tiny too! From what I understood from our endo in Chicago - that

just means we have more time for GH before their bones

start " molding " together. Anyone is welcome to reclarify that for

me though.

anyone know what shoe size this corresponds to in " regular baby shoes " ? The

smallest baby shoes I have are a size three and they are way too big for her.

Hi

i have wondered this too. i don't think you can get regular shoes under as

size 3. My son is 3 and has just gone into a size 6 in normal shoes. His FAb

shoes are a size 5, but it has not run in this way all the way through the

FAb ones were normally 2 sizes bigger. i always had to get smaller socks and

have just got rid of a load of 12 month socks which he has grown out of. His

feet seem to grow in fits and starts as he stayed in some shoes for months

and others hardly at all.

I am told and it still holds true for our son that the baby shoes

and the fab shoes are a 2 size difference. So if is in a zero

in fab-should would be in a 2 in baby shoes.

Carol,

Not to discourage you, but I have a feeling you won't have much luck

finding shoes to fit yet. How old is she? My daughter couldn't

fit into shoes until she was 15 months, when she finally grew into a

size 3. But even then I had to order See Kai Run shoes because no

other brand would fit her. She is still a 3, but even with Stride Rite

3XW, I couldn't get her feet into them. Her feet don't look pudgy or

anything, but I kind of interpret it that her width and girth are that

of a normal 18 months old, but her length is that of a 6 month old.

They just don't make shoes to fit that kind of a foot. Except for See

Kai Run. If 't feet aren't a 3 in length, they don't even make

shoes that would fit her. I also tried Preschoolians and I think that

you might have luck finding smaller sizes with them, but I had a

terrible time with their customer service. I had to return shoes

because they just didn't fit right, and I waited two months for

them to refund my money! I was very disappointed, but I have heard

that others do ok with them. The nice thing with them is that they

will mail you a shoe sizer so that you can know for sure what size you

eill need. But I will warn you that if has a wide foot, you

might also have trouble getting them to fit. Shoes are a real hassle

and I'm looking forward to the day when I don't have to order a $32

pair of shoes from the internet! Good luck in your quest, but I would

say if she's not standing or walking outside yet, it probably isn't

worth the hassle. (just my opinion)

Thank you for the tips, Donna. 's feet are not pudgy. They are skinny,

tiny and small all the way around, in fact! They don't really " fit " with the

rest of her fat little self. LOL

I am really not looking for shoes right now since I love for her to be totally

barefoot during her 6 hours out of the FAB, but I will keep in mind those

companies you mentioned when it is time to look for shoes. I have a feeling

that we will end up in Robeez type shoes for a while once she starts walking

until her little feet grow. I want her to be comfortable and her toes kind of

curve in so I think the typical hard shoes will not work well for her if her

toes continue to be this way. I believe that Robeez might be our best bet for a

while! Thanks again for sharing your experience,

Carol,

I buy pedoodles shoes for Kelsey. They are like the Robeez with the soft

leather etc but they have a flexible rubber sole on the bottom for wear

outside. We LOVE them. So far, their sandals have been the only ones that do

not hurt Kelsey's feet or leave marks/sores on her feet. Their website is

www.pedoodles.com.

Thanks again for the tips. I will save this for reference later when we need

it! Since has never worn a pair of shoes besides the s, I have a

feeling that first pair will be great fun to shop for!

Carol

Re: shoe size

Carol,

If her feet are thin then you probably won't have a problem putting

her in shoes you find locally, once her feet get long enough!! I

wouldn't recommend the See Kai Run shoes for since they

really are designed for very fat or very wide feet. I think you

would find that they wouldn't fit your daughter even once her feet

were long enough. So then that brings you to Preschoolians, which

would probably be great once you need something more substantial

than the Robeez. Each pair comes with three insert choices: narrow,

medium, and wide. That would probably be ideal for you! The Robeez

aren't great for outdoors since they don't offer much protection

from the elements, stones, etc. But you probably already know that.

And it depends on where you live. I live in New York so we really

need something to protect feet from the water/snow/cold, etc.

My daughter is 11 months old, and she just got new ones. Size 3wide.

Shoe Size

As I've been looking at all these adorable pictures and movies, I've

been wondering, what size s are the kids wearing around 10

months. All the shoes look huge compared to Maddie's, who is still in

a size zero, with room to go. Just curious. thanks
