Guest guest
, We are just finishing our 8th treatment and yes it is hard on them. I've heard it helps to be on the various recommended supplements for a while prior to chelation to prepare the body. However we did not do this. What I saw in my son during chelation was more tantrums, aggression and frustration. I've been told that their worst behavior is times 100 when chelation is pulling the metals out of their organs, and times 1000 when it pulls from the brain. It really wasn't all that bad for the end product. It has opened alot of doors for my son-he learns easier & faster, he understands more, has good eye contact and is social. I hope this helps. Thanks W. There are several recommended supplements, but my son does not tolerate any of them, so I am not using them. I am chelating with ALA instead of DMSA, which has its own issues. I am seeing NO regression or negative results at all, but I understand that the better the gut is healed, the easier time the child will have with chelation, and my son has been gfcf for almost two years, plus lots of other interventions. You can read my son's story through the first two rounds of chelation on this link, if you are interested. http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/myson.htm You can also look at the " files " section of this site, for more information. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Autism-Mercury/messages You can look at all my chelation links here http://home.pacbell.net/cscomp/parentin.htm#chelation Dana
