Anyway, one thing I absolutely miss is Carne Asada Burritos from those

That and Pinnacle Peak's Steak House!

Hillcrest) I loved the Corvette in Hillcrest too....... We lived in

Scripps Ranch and North Park from 1983- 1992

Hi Ru!

Yes, I know the area you're talking about! Andy and I considered

moving to Tierra Santa for awhile until we found our house in

Santee. In fact, Pinnacle Peak is just down the street from us!

Within about 5 minutes walking distance.

And yes, you're right! Those " berto " restaurants are always so

good! Gilbertos, Roybertos, os, and the list goes on! :)

Where do you live now?

Sounds good! I also bought a can of Nalley's chili con carne with

cheddar cheese and it has 23 grams of protein per serving (1/2 can)!

Chop up 1/2 a hotdog and we're in business!

I know there's gotta be a web site with cal/protein counts for the

fast food places...I'd love to know the stats on a beef chalupa!

Take care!

Judie,

I haven't been to the chicken pot pie place but I do love the

Corvette Diner in Hillcrest!

I used to live near Scripps Ranch when I first moved to San Diego.

It was really Mira Mesa I guess but we were just off the freeway on

the west side and Scripps Ranch was just on the east side so pretty

close. Nice area.

Hey !

14 grams of protein for a beef supreme chalupa. You can actually go

to the www.tacobell.com web site, click on menu, and choose any food

you want from the pull down menu. Pretty cool, huh?

Hi Ru!

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother! That's wonderful about your

father, though! You must be a close family to do that for your

father. I recently told my mom that if she gets to the point where

she needs help to just call my husband and me and we'll sell our

house and move up north to Oxnard to live with her. Just seems

natural to me.

Do you like living in Atlanta?

Judie,

I'd love to! I'm sure that by that time I'll actually be eating a

normal meal. :) When in June will you be here?

Tracey,

Not sure when in June yet.....daughter is expecting a baby sometime that

month which is why we would be there. Will let you know exactly when at

that time, ok?

As for being ready to eat at the Corvette Diner.......that is 6 months from

now and you will be almost 7 months out and believe me, you will be able to

eat at least HALF a cheeseburger there! By the time I was 6 months out I

could eat an 8 oz steak, half baked potato and about 1/4 cup green beans!

Hugs, Judie

PS but if not, we could always have a starbucks carmel frappe!!

Hi Judie!

Mmmmm, the caramel frappe sounds yummy but I'm partial to the

rasberry mocha chip. :)

Not a problem! Just lemme know when you'll be here. I'm sure you're

right and I'll be more than ready for Corvette Diner by June. I'd be

eating out right now if I could sit up comfortably. :)

Lookin' forward to it!
