Guest guest
Hi Chris- I saw the same ad on TV for the low carb/high protein pasta made from soy flour. It sounded so intrigued that I ordered it yesterday. I will let you know if it passes the taste/texture test! Also, what level of carb intake do you think is okay - in terms of grams per day? Guest guest
I can't do pasta yet--my butt was an airhorn all night long after some Speghettios!! I bought some noodles in the oriental section -- one was rice noodles, another was called Bean Threads--look like shredded plastic wrap. I have yet to try them. Guest guest
Nick, When I was on the Atkins diet I was restricted to 15 grams/day, but that is probably too extreame for us post-ops. I tend to foucs on protien per unit " eatability " . I suppose up to 60 grams/day of carbs is fine for us. The main thing to aviod is too much carbs (esp. sugar) with a lack of protien. That could cause one to go into a " catabolic " state where the protien is taken from the muscle. It is actually better to starve then to eat sugar! Please let us know if this high protien pasta is any good. I am a real italian food lover, and would welcome this. Guest guest
Nick: I saw the ad on tv earlier today for the soy pasta, but I'm not sure if it's the same one you ordered...here it is: Pasta Lite by Due Amici 28gr. protein & 10 gr. carbs per serving 4lbs pasta is $19.99, and if you order now they'll also kick in a pasta pot/strainer and some recipes. > > > Hi Chris- > > > > > > I saw the same ad on TV for the low carb/high protein pasta made > > from soy > > > flour.
