Guest guest
Have you checked the width of her bar lately? She may be out growing it, causing discomfort. We've found here that the #1 reason kids sleep poorly in the FAB is the bar is too short. Beyond that maybe try putting a pillow under her knees at night. Let us know what happens next. s. Club Feet Hi Everyone! I wish I had found this site when my daughter nah got her DBB. She was was born with club feet Jan 30, 2006. She was casted the third day she was born. Now she wears Dbb she still having problems at night but she is ok during the day. Can anyone tell me if your baby sleeps with their feet up? sometimes nah gets up at night crying and her feet up in the air with the bar. I push them down and she goes back to sleep. Is this normal or should I be concern. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ No virus found in this incoming message. Checked by AVG Free Edition. Guest guest
Hi there - my son sleeps with his feet up in the air all of the time, or resting against the side of his crib, but he seems to be quite comfortable with it. Guest guest
Hi there! Hayden is one year old as of last Monday (the 19th) and he has been in the brace for about five months now. Sometimes I look at the way he is sleeping and think it could not possibly be comfortable, but still he sleeps! So I don't worry about it too much because I feel he will shift his position eventually if he is not. How long has nah had her brace for? That is a beautiful name by the way! zeinab taib wrote: Hi . Guest guest
Hi. It's normal for babies to have very strange sleeping positions with their brace on. My son sleeps with his legs up in the air and sometimes he brings them so close to his head that I'm afraid he'll hit his head. I think they are just trying out different sleep positions that are comfortable for them. Lutfa Manswab Adnan wrote: Hi Everyone! I wish I had found this site when my daughter nah got her DBB. Guest guest
My son, Mason(13 months old) has always slept with his feet straight up in the air with his brace on. I can't figure out the comfort in that, but so long as he's sleeping, right? :-) I try to check on him periodically throughout the night when I'm awake to go to the bathroom, and before I go to bed, and never fails that his legs are up. I do push them down, but it seems almost as if he's pressing against me doing this even while sleeping. I just had to take a picture of him sleeping like this to add the collection that I have, to show him later more about how he was. So, yes it is normal for them to sleep with legs up, or like others have said, just different ways of getting comfy. Niki & Mason(13 months, rcf, dobbs brace 14-16/7) Re: Club Feet Hi. Guest guest
Hi everyone! Thanks to all of you who assured me that it's ok for our beautiful babies to sleep with their feet up. nah is doing fine during the day she still have problems sleeping at night. She wakes up every now and then. I don't know if it's the shoes because during the day she is fine and when she has a nap she sleeps peacefully. So I don't know what bothers her. Any suggestions? Guest guest
Lutfa, Night time waking can be caused by a bar that is a bit too short or shoes that are just not fitting quite right. They are comfortable enough during the day, but just trying to get comfy for a full night's sleep is a little rough if these things are annoying. Have you checked her bar length - lay her between the heels of the shoes or hold the brace up to her back, you want the heels of the shoes to be shoulder width. A little wider may make her more comfortable if they are even close to being too narrow. Also, look for the shoes to be getting to small, either lengthwise or widthwise, either one can cause irritation. Hope this helps, Mom to Jenna (4/7/01) & Sammy (9/25/04, RCF, Dobbs brace 12hrs/day) Hi Everyone! > > > > I wish I had found this site when my daughter > > nah got her DBB. Guest guest
Hi , Thank you so much for your advise. I will check the length of the bar. She has the Markell shoes (I think) open toe and heel. the metal bar has 3 holes on both ends I use the middle hole on both side maybe I should use the last hole. But I will check. Thank. lutfa Mother to:nah bcf January 30 2006 --- wrote: > Lutfa, > Night time waking can be caused by a bar that is a > bit too short or > shoes that are just not fitting quite right. Guest guest
My little girl only sleeps with her feet up. It is kinda funny when I look into her crib and atop her little legs is this big bar hanging in the air. I mean she has a HUGE smile on her face so I assume it doesn't bug her. I am just worried she is goiing to knock herself out with that bar one day.
