Well, it's hard to argue with that. :)

(Of course, I'm obliged to add that we can argue all day and night as

far as I'm concerned, and it is a good and educational pastime. Arguing

is good; attacking, not so much. Attacking remains a big honking no-no.

I love to argue, however arguing over people's " armchair

quarterbacking " is really a moot point. In my opinion sharing is

better than flaming. Part of having a mind is having the sense to

keep it open.

yup, my two cents..NEXT!

Part of having a mind is also being able to close it to nonsense.

I started this " trip " after reading about Carney. I am one who believes in

taking responsibility for my health by checking doctors and treatments out

with other patients. Very quickly I found the DS surgery. After reading

the pros and cons between RNY and DS, I knew that the DS was for me. I want

to live as normally as possible after surgery....isn't this the point of

surgery? I felt that the DS allowed me a more normal life and eating style.

I will forever be grateful for those who have posted their experiences on

the different WLS websites.

I don't feel that " fighting " is the way to go...however, sharing truthful

information about the benefits and problems that patients experience is

priceless! If a few " flames " , " fights " and " burns " are the price to pay for

such a wonderful sharing group....to me it is worth it...I just use my

" delete " button it I don't agree or find the response offensive.

Well said, Jerry!!

and ... I have no trouble with " heated discussion " <G> unless

it degenerates into a slam-fest.. so YES! Debate, argue, discuss..

without slamming, flaming, or personal attacks- go for it!

Hugs,

Liane

PS- Jerry- no news on the insurance front?
