Guest guest
Hi, We had Emerence's bone age done and she has caught up to her chronological age. The endo we have also read her bone age last year and noticed something " unusual " (ie something she had never seen before). Emerence has pseudoepiphyses of the metacarpals (at the base). Apparently this is a sign of primordial dwarfism, of which RSS is one form. But since Dr. H is going with SGA do SGA kids have this too?? Apparently there are some more extraordinarily rare forms of dwarfism that show this as well.... Anyone else know if their kids have this? The endo has spoken to the head bone guy at Children's Hospital Boston where we go but they haven't connected yet and she has to scan the xray in for him to review. The fact she said he is " eager " to see the xray makes me nervous.... mom to 5 and EMerence 31 months 22lb 32 "
